Pregnant. Intermittent Nose Bleeding. Prescribed Medicines. White Discharge From Right Eye. Unable To Open Eye. Suggestions?
Hi .. My wife (27 yrs), 5 months pregnant, is suffering from intermittent noise bleeding since 2 months. ENT doctor has prescribed liquid paraffin & otrinoz drops for 7 days. She has just using those drops since 2 days. Since last night there was white discharge from her right eye. & this morning she was unable to open her eyes at all.. as both of her eyes was filled with white discharge .
Your wife is suffering from infective conjunctivitis in both eyes. However, since she is pregnant, most antibiotics are not recommended. Have her wash her eyes with luke warm water and wipe the discharge with a cotton ball soaked in warm water. Hopefully, the discharge will reduce in a few days and symptoms subside. Make sure she keeps a check on her vision by closing each eye alternately and checking how well she can see.
