Pregnant, LFT Done Due To Itching In Body. What Does Report Say?
Hello Doctor I am 32W4D pregnant , My Dr suggested for LFT as there was itching all over body .
Got this done and the IMPRESSION is as below : The bilateral pelvicalyceal dilatation persists. The bladder is mildly distended with a key hole appearance suggestive of a posterior urethral valve. However the diagnosis can only be confirmed post delivery
Hello Thanks for your query. You have not attached the LFT report, please upload that too. Regarding the ultrasound, the finding is that the kidneys of the baby are mildly dilated. This is because in the urethra, there is a small valve that is obstructing the flow of urine. the urine back pressure builds up, and thus puts pressure on the kidneys. It might lead to decreased amniotic fluid too, as urine contributes to liquor amnii. The condition requires a surgery after delivery and it is not lethal. take care.
HI DEAR AND WELCOME TO HCM..... dear there are a bumber of causes of itching, both skin conditions and systemic illnesses can cause itching ,like dermatitis , biliary system diseases, renal failure, thyriod diseases, some GI diseases.... but remember some female experience itching in pregnency especially on thigh ,belly and breast, and it go away after delivery ... your u/s report is normal.... so this itching is benign .....
