Morning sickness vomiting is more common in pregnancy and doxylamine/pyridoxine is the current standard of care to treat this symptom.American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidelines have recommended this combination as first-line pharmacotherapy for morning sickness. The FDA recommends a starting dose every day at bedtime and on an empty stomach. The dose can be boosted to a maximum of 4 doses per day — one in the morning, one in midafternoon, and 2 at bedtime — if need be.However you may consult your doctor and take according to her advise. Most common side effect is drowsiness. It is safe for the baby.Take care.Hope I have answered your question.
