Pregnant, Dilation Seen With Slight Blood. Should I Worry ?

hi I am 39 weeks pregnant I saw ob. Gyn and he checked me and I'm 2 cm dialated. He said to exspect a lil blood and I had a lil about a hour after my appointment I've went to the bathroom a few times since and there was no more blood. Well I just went again and when I wiped it was like I either bleed neon orange or it was discharge. But I'm not sure if that's bad or what. This is my first full term pregnancy

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
What you experienced is normal.
At 39 weeks with 2 cm dilatation, you are in pre labour.
What you experienced is called ' show '.
It indicates approach of actual labour pains.
IT is slight bleeding from the small blood vessels in the cervix, alongwith mixed mucoid discharge, making it sticky orangish, looking like bloody discharge too.
You should not worry.
Just monitor the contractions as they come, and report to the OB as instructed.
All the best.
