Pregnant, Fell On Back, Not Hard Fall. Should I Be Worried?

I am almost 23 weeks pregnant and my dog ran out of the front door heading for a busy street. I bent down quickly to pick up his leash and while crouching, I fell on my back. I don t feel that it was a hard fall, but should I be worried?? Thank you, Evangelia

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As you fall on your back, there is less possibility for injury to fetus.
But better to get examined once.
Consult gynecologist once, get examined and go for ultrasound.
By this any possible effect on fetus, placenta etc can be ruled out.
Then you can continue with regular antenatal checkups and ultrasound examinations.
If any abnormality like hemorrhage etc noted, management should be planned accordingly.
Don't worry, hopefully there may not be any major problem.
Take care.
