Pregnant, Had Two Abortion Before, Adviced Betnesol Injection. Why This Injection Required? Usage?
hello mam, i am 32 week pregnant. i had two abortion before, 1 at 26 week and another on 2 months, now my doctor adviced me for betnesol injection . my GTT report is, 101, 1hrs- 206, 2nd hrs-115. she told me to admit for one day during this injection she wants to monitor the sugar level also, why this injection rewuired.

betnesol injection is an safe steroid injection mainly given during risk pregnancies...
as ur previous pregnancies landed up in abortions there are risk for upcoming pregnancies...such as mainly your doctor would have for seen and would have decided to take safety measures...if ur doctor has for seen chances of preterm delivery then that is the reason of giving that injection to avoid problems for the baby..it helps in the maturity of lungs of the baby...and helps baby to breathe fine.. you baby will be fine by the grace of god

Betnesol, or betamethasone, is usually given during pregnancy to help mature the baby's lungs when premature birth seems imminent. There are no studies linking Betnesol to later weight-gain problems in infants. In fact, little if any long-term side effects are connected to a single Betnesol course during pregnancy.
