Pregnant, Have Itching, Bruising And Burning After Intercourse. Normal Test Results. Cause?
Hi im wondering if its something to do with being pregnant or not but ever since i got pregnant ive been feeling itchyness at moments and bruising feeling and burning while intercourse and after. I had a pee test done and nothing came up. Ive checked for everything and nothing i had a bladder infection and clamydia a while back but it seems to have all been cured question is. Can it be pregnancy causing this or what do you think?
Hi,
It is common for urogenital infections to flare up during pregnancy due to increased tissue vulnerability. You should have a checkup with your obstetrician to rule out vulval trichomonas or candida infections. Also your partner should be tested and treated if there is any infection. Urinary infections do not usually cause itching, it is the vaginal and vulval infections. Maintain personal hygiene and wash with lukewarm water every time you use the toilet preferably with a disinfectant. Wish you speedy recovery.
