Pregnant, Have Severe Cramps, On Salbutamol Infusion, Ampiclox. Brown Discharge, Ruptured Corpus Lutuem Cyst. Is This Normal ?
Hi doctor. I am 6weeks preg (LMP was 6/01/13). Last week I had severe cramps and I was put on salbutamol infusion, then d tablets ,and also ampiclox capsules. Because my doc says I hav a ruptured corpus lutuem cyst whwhich might b contributing to the pain/cramps. But yesterday morning I had this brownish vaginal discharge , and its here again this morning, but there is no cramping nor pain. Please is dis normal or should I be worried?
Hello
Thank you for your query.
A ruptured corpus luteum can cause pain/cramps.
However, the vaginal discharge ( brownish ) is not normal, and can be indicative of am impending miscarriage.
it could also be a normal finding in certain pregnancies, if it is not heavy and painful.
have an ultrasound to confirm the viability of your pregnancy.
Take care.
