I am in 6th week of pregnancy. Previously had 2 miscarriages, both within first 10 weeks. Now I am pregnant after trying for a year, but the pregnancy is spontaneous, not on any drugs. Since last two days, I am having brown spotting and this is causing great concern. I am very upset seeing this and how can I prevent any miscarriage, God forbid... I am taking duphastan and glucophage (due to PCO ). pls adives
Hi,
It is essential that the reason for your previous 2 miscarriages be evaluated in order to handle this pregnancy better. In PCOD, there is a natural deficiency of the hormone progesterone that is essential for the maintenance of pregnancy. Brown spotting may indicate some old bleed due to hormonal deficiency. Since you are already on progesterone supplements, you need not worry, this spotting should subside. You can call your doctor for any suggestions now. Please have regular visits to your doctor and follow instructions. Meanwhile, take absolute bed rest, avoid stress and intercourse.
