Pregnant Having Painful Lump On The Buttocks. Had A Pelvic Exam For Spotting. Advice?

It feels like a big lump on the left side of my buttocks near my vagina . It is very painful. I went to the ER the other night for spotting because I m pregnant and had a pelvic exam. When the doctor removed the speculum she pulled my hairs pretty hard in that area. I m wondering if that s the cause if the pain or could it be something else.

hello there..

The lump you are mentioning can be due to folliculitis followed by abscess as you also give history of hair being pulled off.
Also it can be a bartholins abscess or cyst which is also very painful and requires removal.
Both the condition i have mentioned are infective and need to be treated. It can also interfere with your delivery causing obstruction.
I suggest you visit your gynecologist at the earliest and get it managed.
