Pregnant, High BP, Tender Stomach. Should I Meet Doctor Urgently?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and have been getting some high blood pressure readings on a home kit I have. I also am very tender over the top of my bump - don't know if this is just the way the baby is lying or if it relates in anyway? I have a midwife appointment at the end of next week. Is it ok to wait to get this checked out then or should I get checked out sooner in your medical opinion

Hi,
If you get persistent high record at every recording, it s vital that you report the matter to a specialist. Pain along the uterus could be due to stretching of the abdominal wall, tightening of the uterus, movement of the baby, or some intraabdominal cause. You should get it checked out immediately through a clinical exam and if needed by monitoring, urinalysis and an abdominal sonogram. Please take adequate rest in left lateral position, avoid stress of any sort, limit intake of salt and salted foods and fries. Monitor your urine output. Wish you good health.
