Pregnant, High Red Blood Count In Urine, Taking Tramadol For Back Problems
my daughter is 21 and has just found out she is pregnant, 6 or 7 weeks. She ha sbeen taking tramadol for back problems. She ha sbeen working away in Cambridge and when she found our she was expecting she wenr straight to a walk in centre where they did a urine sample. She had a phone all yesterday from the centre saying they were concerened as she had a high red blood count in her urine, over 60. She is very distressed and is returning home today
More than 60 RBC's in urine indicate bleeding from vagina.It can be due to severe UTI also but there should be pus cells and less number of RBC's along with urinary symptoms.Tel her to get an ultrasound done as early pregnancy with slight bleeding is called threatened abortion for which she should take strict bed rest along with folic acid and progesterone under doctor's guidance
