Hi I'm having lower right side pains. I went to the dr on Thursday and they said it was a normal stretching pains since I'm 32 weeks pregnant. But the pains are deep I can press in on it and it hurts worse. The baby is kicking at the place of the pain as well. It does come any go but it is a throbbing pain. Do I need to go to the er?

Hi and thanks for the query,
It is necessary to understand that some pain might be felt towards the end of pregnancy which is very normal. However, it is very important to watch the intensity of this pain, the accompanying signs and symptoms and when it becomes permanent or so intense. Considering the fact you had a clinical examination and certainly a normal ultrasound scan result, I suggest you be calm. In case you experience other signs like bleeding, intense pain, fever, generalization of the pain, it would be worthwhile for you to consult your obstetrician. But if not, you stay good. simple analgesics at times like Acetaminophen might be sufficient.
thanks and hoe this helps,
Best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
