Pregnant, Pelvic Pain And Loose Black Stool, Iron Pills, Prenatals, C Section
Hi I am 35 weeks pregnant with a lot of pelvic pain and loose black stool . I am on iron pills and prenatals for low blood platelets. Should I be concerned with the black loose stool and pelvic pain? This is my second child and I didnt feel the pressure pain with my first until around delivery. I am having a repeat c section around 39 weeks.
hi,
black stools and loose stools are seen in people taking iron supplements commonly.
as your previous delivery was by cesarean section adhesions because of that surgery may be responsible for your pelvic pain now,
other possible causes are increase pelvic tilt can occur in second pregnancy and size of the babies will also increase with increasing parity.
you can go for iron syrup or injections if the symptoms are more troublesome.
try to take analgesics, sleep in left lateral position, avoid prolonged standing and lifting weights,
if pain will not subside even with this better visit your doctor once, get examined and follow her advice.
take care
