Pregnant, Spotting After Intercourse. Ultrasound Shows Perisac Bleed, Yolk Sac And Cardiac Flicker. Advised To Wait. Reason ?
Im 6 week pregnant.... I started spotting 5days ago after intercourse.... I went to the doctor had an u/s which showed perisac bleed and gestational sac, yolk sac and cardiac flicker...the doctor told me the bleeding will resolve and not to worry. last night i had bleeding more than what i was experiencing.... Iwent to my docter again... She did an u/s and it shows gestational sac, yolk sac, no fetal cadiac flicker seen and perisac bleed..... The doctor says since the gestational sac is intact we should wait one more week... There might be a cardiac flicker by then.... Im very confused as to how there was can be a cardiac flicker later when there isn't one nw.... Can this happen? Im still bleeding
Hello, Thank you for the query. I have gone through your query and I understood your concerns as a mother. To be clear about the cardiac flicker there are so many cases we will see in 1st trimester with the same problems you are having and as there is bleed inside it may mask the sounds and that may be the reason your doctor advised you to wait for a week to see whether the perisac bleed resolves and you may find cardiac flicker again. As there is bleeding till now the chances are very low. So, just be brave to face the situation and I wish all the very best for your scan after a week. Thank you.
