Pregnant, Taking Duphaston, Bleeding Blood Clot, Mild Low Abdominal Cramp. Is It Safe To Take 20mg Duvaldin Every 8 Hour?

Hi Doc.. I am 6 week pregnant, 2nd child. I am taking duphaston twice a day because last week there was spotting. Today I am bleeding, bright red and blood clot, mild low abdominal cramp just like menstrual cramp. The doctor gave me duvaldin 20 mg. is it safe to take 20mg duvaldin every 8 hour?

At 6 weeks of pregnancy, the continuous bleeding is suggestive of a threatened abortion. You can add allylestranol in addition to progesterone supplements you are already taking after consulting your gynecologist.
