Pregnant, Ultrasound Showed Fluid In Kidney, Elevated WBC, Have Strong Pains. What Can Be Done?
a close friend of mine was taking to hospital she is 20 wks pregnate, they told her from an ultr sound that her kidney had fluid in it, and her white blood cells were long, but baby was moving but looked like it didnt have much room and feet might be suck, they told her to see her doctor asap and sent her home. Her baby doctor is very busy and couldnt fit her in till next wk her symptoms like very strong period pains, i am worried that this is not good. what do u think the best thing should do?????
hi,
according to your description there is possibility for pyelonephritis means infection of upper urinary tract,
possibly because of that her WBC are elevated,
may be she is having oilgohydromnios so that there is no enough room for the baby to move,
so better let her consult urologist to rule out the possibility of pyelonephritis and if present to take treatment,
she can take treatment to increase amniotic fluid after consulting gynecologist.
take care.
