Pregnant, Uncomfortable During Intercourse, Thick White Odorless Itchy Discharge. Diflucan Taken. Suggestions?
had sexual intersourse with my husband three days ago with some discomfort at the beginning of intercourse so i thought it was because im 32 weeks pregnant but a discharge started the next day! Went sunday and monday with it increasing now its thick white, odorless, and just now seem to be itchy after taking a 150 mg diflucan perscribed by doctor on tuesday? Whats wrong with me somewhat worried its not a yeast infection but something more should I go in to be swabbed or see if the meds work after 4-5 more days?
Hi, Thanks for the query. In pregnancy any type of infection should be treated carefully. After taking the medicine it may take sometime for the required action. So you wait for one to two days. If the symptoms decrease it is good, if not consult gynecologist once again get examined and take required antibiotics. Both the partners have to take the treatment to prevent future cross infection.
