Pregnant With Twins. Had Piri Formis Problems. Family History Of Stroke. Numbness In The Thigh. Pain In The Achilles Tendon

Hi. Thank you for being online. I am 43 and 13 weeks pregnant w donor egg twins. I'm not overweight and am healthy. I had left knee surgery when I was 14 and ocassionally have piri formis issues (maybe twice a year). My family has a history of stroke. My mother had a pulmonary embolism post my and my brother's birth. We are twins. I tested negative for clotting issues. This week I have been experiencing numbness which comes and goes on top of left thigh. Also last night my left Achilles started hurting making it difficult to walk. I should say my blood pressure is good

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have mentioned can be due to the laxity of the muscles and joints due to the hormonal changes in the body caused by pregnancy. This is commonly seen and can be relieved with mild pain killers.
