Prescribe Cream For Severe Itching Between Buttocks

Hi for the last few am troubling with itch in middle of the buttocks what should I use to stop that and because of itching I used to rub that area hence the middle of the buttocks area is turned into red and paining because suggest some cream.thank u....am from india

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.

Seems you got Intertrigo over gluteal cleft but definitive diagnosis is not possible untill proper examination.

I would suggest you local application of cream containing betmethasone, clotrimazole and fusidic acid twice a day over affected areas for atleast 1 week and then switch over to plain antifungal cream containing sertaconazole (Onabet cream) for another 2 weeks.
Oral antifungal like fluconazole 100mg once daily for 15 days.
Oral antibiotic like cefadroxil for 5 days for the bacterial infection.
Take antihistaminics like levocetrizine twice a day to decrease itching and irritation.
Avoid pricking/scratching of lesions.
Maintain proper hygiene and avoid tight under-garments.
