Prescribed Azytromicin And Prednisone After Spitting Lot Of Boogers And Sore Throat With High Fever. Is It Fungal Infection?
Hello,
I am a bisexual male who has been with another bisexual male for several year, we are a couple.
My boyfriend works collecting garbage and he got accidental a liquid in his mouth,The same week of these incident we had sex with a girl too and he gave her a lot of oral sex. Appropriately a week after he developed a severe sore-throat with 104 fever and swollen face (left side).
We went to a Doctor and prescribed Azytromicin 500mg day for 4 days and Prednisone, the pain went away, however is a month after and he still spits a lot of black and yellow boogers in the morning.
Yesterday we kissed a lot and today I woke up spitting boogers and slight itchy throat and nose.
What could be this? Will it be some fungal infection from the girl or the garbage liquid? or could this be an STD?

As you are worried about the nature of infection, for this I would like to say that throat infection may be because of viral, fungal or bacterial and it may be part of STD.
To differentiate it you should do-
1- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.
2- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (F & PP).
