Prescribed Seroquel For Sleep Issues. Diagnosis? Have Anger Outbursts

Good morning

I have been suggested Seroquel for a sleep issues I've been suffering.
I was seen by a psychiatrist.
Not sure what I've been diagnosed with?
Not interested in taking the drug....
I almost been sleeping for 7 hrs, I'm happy with my progress in getting more sleep...
Getting a little more grounded
But I snapped in an anger out burst which was only for a minute but it was scary

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Seroquel can be used for many issues. However for your particular case it seems to have been prescribed for anxiety related insomnia. It usually takes the edge off and helps you to fall asleep and also maintains sleep. I believe if you also have anger outbursts, you might be being treated with seroquel to help with bipolar disorder. I hope you do take the medication as it will help with the anger and sleep issues at the same time. I hope you consult your psychiatrist for any questions and build a trusting relationship with the doctor.
