hi sir/madam im sadhana 24yrs old, having pcos from 2008, and my doctor prescribed me to have ginette 35 and aldactone for more than 4years,but my friends scared me dont use oral contraceptives for many years, after havimg of that tablet for 4 yrs i consult another doctor he told stop taking it he prescribed me to have deviry and metasens tablet,but now im not getting my periods,before having pcos also im not having any period problems,but now im very much scary of my periods.please help me what to do?
Treatment of PCOS can be tricky at times. Oral contraceptives have proved to help regularize the menstrual cycle, but can have their various side effects in the long run.
The new medications might take time to show their effect, which is why I advice you to wait for at least 2-3 months for them to show an improvement in your menstrual cycle.
Another very effective medication is metformin, tou could consider this as a back up if the current medications fail to help.
In the meantime, if you are overweight I would recommend you to lose weight, but at the sametime not got about any strenuous exercise.
