Pulled Off 3 Controlled Substances For My High BP Without Weaning Period. What To Do ?

My doctor was recently changed against my will, and I have been pulled off
of three controlled substances with no weaning period by a N. P. . I am a 50 year old grandmother with high blood pressure. What is this going to do to me when my meds run out? Addendum: I have been tapering off the dose daily from what I have left, but don't four days worth isn't going to do much good is it. I asked to be weaned off the meds and was refused.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

I am sorry that you are such distress. You may want to consider speaking to your doctor to find out the reason for the change.
There are different reasons that a doctor may seek to arrange for a patient to see a new doctor, your doctor may be able to let you now why it was done.

The fact that he or she arranged for you to see a new doctor is good because it ensures continued care.
You can speak to him or her to find out the best way to discontinue the medication to avoid side effects.

I hope this helps
