Pulsating Vein In Left Side Of Neck. Have Shortness Of Breath, Hypertension, Frequent Urination, Strange Feeling In Left Arm. Help
Today I had a pulsating vein on the left side of my neck. No pain. This is the first time this has happened. I was very pronounced and it scared me. I have been having shortness of breath lately, frequent urination at night and a strange feeling in my left arm. I am not a diabetic however, I am a 47 year old black female with controlled hypertension. I have a doctor appointment Tuesday but think I might need to be checked out before then. Thanks
See an Internist / get yourself examined / at times, basic investigation may be necessary...
Veins do not generally pulsate! And in the neck, with a background of pressure and sugar, as also left arm uneasiness – it is an indication to see the doctor IMMEDIATELY... In suspected heart attack, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE – if detected early, an attack may even be aborted / the amount of damage and complications can be reduced remarkably. EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing all well God bless Good luck
