Pulse Of 100 - 115 While Resting. Is This Normal?

I am nineteen years old and have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. While I am at rest most of the time my pulse gets up a little past 100 BPM. Is this normal?

100-115 isn't too bad. The normal is 60-100, and your pulse is not much above that. You should be concerned only if you feel your heart racing all of the time, have many palpitations, get pain in the chest, feel fatigued, and other symptoms you should not have on a daily basis. And if you have an anxiety disorder, it makes sense your pulse would be higher since anxiety is known to raise the pulse rate. Like the person above said, everyone has different normals. My resting HR has been lower than 60, and since I am not having any symptoms with it, the doctors aren't too worried about it and neither am I. If you are too concerned though, I would go see my physician and just have an EKG done or atleast a doctor tell you that it is okay for you to have a high rate. It might calm your nerves some.

Hi... The pulse is most often within the normal limits while sleeping and resting.. Anxiety can increases pulse rate when you are active and not while resting. If the resting pulse is high, hyperthyroidism and other medical conditions have to ruled out first.. Out of which hyperthroidism is most likely as they hyperthyroid state can also cause anxiety.  So it is better you consult your physician or the specialist to know the cause and for the treatment...
