Put On Hydroxyuria To Lower Platelets, WBC Went Up. Did This Drug Cause Leukemia ?

My mother just passed away and the diagnosis has been very unclear
she was put on a drug called hydroxyuria to lower her blood platelets, she was only on it for 3 months as her platelets came down from 1 million to 34,000 in 3 months. 2 months after being off the drug her white blood count went up to 50,000, did this drug cause her to have leukemia

Very sorry for your mother untimely demise.
Let me clear one thing that 50000 W B Cs count is not a leukaemia case .
It may be due to septicemia .
2nd thing that hydroyuria didn't causes leukaemia.
