Quad Bypass. Heart Functioning Minimised. What Should We Fear?

My husband just had a quad bypass and were not even sure 3 of them will work it could take up to 3 months to find out. We have been told that he only has 15% heart function. The whole right side, bottom and back of his heart is dead. Will he be able to function at a somewhat normal life and will I be able to have him around for awhile. These are fears of mine. Thanks you.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear ma'm
Thanks for your query.
It is difficult to prognosticate a single case. Its nearly impossible. But I sincerely hope that the doctors who have performed a by-pass on him must have ascertained that it is going to be beneficial to the remaining part of alive heart muscle. We have a number of patients who had severely low heart function but did quite well after bypass surgery. Hope for the best and follow your doctors advise.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
