Raised Anxiety, Burning In Mouth, Throat, Face And Arms, Insomnia, Numbness. Taking Sertraline. What Does This Mean?

I started taking Setraline on August 17th, and had raised anxiety, burning in mouth, throat, face, arms, no interest in eating, no taste for food, insomnia, ect. My Primary Care Doctor had me quit cold turkey last Monday. I am still experiencing burning in my mouth and throat, and a little numbness and sunburn feeling on my face, right forearm, and lower calf. The symptoms have decreased significantly, I just am curious if there is any help for the lingering negative side effects or a general time frame for them to completely go away. Thanks so much. Katie

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

The things will settle on its own. The approximate time frame is 2 weeks. Nothing kuch needs to be done. Next time let your doctor know that you are sensitive for the SSRIs.
The other possibility is that you can go ahead with cognitive behavioural therapy instead of medicationsfor your depression and both are equally effective.
