Rapid Weight Gain And Stopped, Very Short Periods After Taking Hormonal Contraceptive Pills. Advice
i have been taking harmonal contraseptive pills from last 3 months in last month i have taken it twice and i m lost my menstrual flow since i start taking pills and now it comes for just 1 day. preiviously it used to be 7 days. And i m gaining weight very fast. i was 42 kg in before 9 months now i m 52 kg i am gaining weight in hips and stomach area. My age is 25.Please advice

Weight gain is possible as a side effect of hormonal contraceptives because of fluid retention. But other causes like thyroid dysfunction should also be rule out.
You should consult gynecologist for expert evaluation and examination. Doctor may rule out pregnancy particularly if you have missed any tablets during regular cycle.
Treatment would be directed as per cause.
