Rash Around Waist Below Navel And On Back. Wore Jeans Without Washing. Suggestions?

I am 81 yrs. old, never had rashes in my life. recently I started a rash around my waist below my naval and on my back side about the same height. I cannot think of any thing different that i'm doing except I made some hot hot chow chow recently and eat a good bit of it at a time. also I did buy a pair of new jeans and wore w/out washing, I do know better, but needed them at the time. any suggestions.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
The most probable cause for your rash seems to be an allergic reaction to the new jeans.
The other possibility is fungal infection called as tinea cruris.
Depending upon the condition you may need treatment with steroids or anti fungals.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Thank you
