Rash On Arm, Spreading To Foot And Tip Of Penis, Itchy. Waiting For STI Results. Suggestions?
my boyfriend and i have been dating for a few months and about 2 months ago he noticed a rash on his arm where he had gotten tattood about a month before we met, he didnt think it was anything to worry about so he went to the doctor and got some cream and it hasnt gone away, and then he noticed it on his foot and tip of his penis. i have no symptoms of an STI but his doctor told him it is genital warts but yet again i have no symptoms. i dont think it is genital warts. i think it is syphilis or a fungus. he said it is itchy sometimes and doesnt burn when he pees. we both are waiting for our new STI results. help!
Hi Rash on his arm is due to allergic reaction of the material used in tattooing. IT cannot be warts. Lesions on his foot and penis, ithcy go in favour of ungal infection. Syphilis doesnot invlove arm, foot. It presents as an ulcer over penis. So,it can be excluded. Please consult a qualified dermatologist and proceed accordingly. I give antifungal medicines to my patients with similar complaints. Wish him speedy recovery Regards
