Rashes On Buttocks. Is It Due To Excessive Sweat? Dangerous?

My partner hides his body recently I noticed a red ras like coming from the but cheeks up his lower back. He has pale sensitive skin it s probably due to excessive sweat and not washing with soap every night. But how can I be certain it s not dangerous to him or me or our daughter? Is there an ointment that could help soothe it and clear it up? Thank you

Hi there,
Welcome to HCM.
Rashes on buttocks can be sweat rashes but they could also be fungal infection. Fungal infection usually presents with patch like rashes with clear defined margins. Also they are very itchy. You can try application of antifungal powder for 1 week, if does not reduce then you better get it examined by your skin doctor. Thanks.
