Reason For Continued Fever, Shaking And Cold With Lips Turned Blue
Our 14 year old daughter has had a fever for 5.5 days. She has had the flu shot. I took her to the doctors on Tuesday and she was given a strep test which came back negative. I took her back to the doctors on Friday and she was given the flu test which came back negative. Doctor said her nose and throat looked ok. She is still running a fever and last night gave her mortin and she got really shaky and cold and her lips turned blue. She doesn't seem to having any issues breathing. When she takes deep breaths she coughs a little. I keep hearing virus from the doctors and it will last as long as it lastss
Most probably it is viral fever. Get her blood examined. If everything is ok then stop medication.Take her temperature 4 hourly. If it exceedes 100 degree foreignhit give one paracetamol tablet and give her vitamin C. Within few days she should be all right. If fever still percist then consult physician.
