Reason For Having Brown Discharge?

Ive been using the ring for 2 months now and this is my second "Ring Free" week. Ive had the ring out for 2 days now and still only having very light but dark brown discharge. Wondering what this means and if I will get my real period? Is this normal or may I be Pregnant? Last month I had dark brown discharge that turned into my period by now.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
As you have used the birth control vaginal ring continuously, nothing to worry about pregnancy.

Brown discharge is nothing but a old blood retained in uterus some days before.
It is usual to have the irregular periods, light bleeding and brown discharge in any hormonal birth control measures for initial 3 to 6 months.
This is due to hormonal imbalance due to use of hormonal vaginal ring.

Once the body adjusts to this external hormonal birth control, you would not have these irregular and brown discharge.

But it may take up to 6 months.
Thus nothing to worry and you are not pregnant.

Hope this helps.

Wishing you good health.
