Reason For Itching Without Redness Or Bumps At Waist?

My husband has had itching just at his waist. It comes and goes and there is no redness or bumpiness. It just irritates him. When he puts an anti itching cream on it, it helps, but doesn;t take it away I am very clean and wash our beding every week and our clothes.

Dear Friend.
Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.

Itching without any obvious rash is most commonly due to dryness.

I will advice you to put lots of good moisturizer over the body 2-3 times a day rather than applying anti itch cream.

Afterbath, try to apply moisturizer over semi wet body. If itch is intolerable, he can take tab levocetrizine for symptomatic relief night time.

Sometimes, continous friction at a site may irritate the skin and precipitates itch. If it is present, avoid tight clothing over the waist. it will also help him.
