Reason For Level Change In The PSA Test?

I have just received a PSA test result of 6.73 which compared with a test result of 4.10 approx 18 months ago.

I am 64 years of age. On the day of and just before the latest test I went to the gym for a vigorous cardio session.

Do you have an opinion on what the best option is for me please?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
PSA stands for prostatic specific antigen.
Its normal levels is below 4 ng/dl.
It increases in prostatic inflammation, prostatic hyperplasia and prostatic neoplasm.
An increase in prostatic size and hyperplasia can be due to hyperplasia of prostate over past 18 months.
You can undergo clinical assessment and relevant investigations i.e. digital examination, rectal ultrasound and or prostatic biopsy.

You need to consult an urologist for clinical examination and investigations.

Thanks and take care
