Reason For Pain In The Head And Feeling Of Sore Scalp?
I have been having pains in my head, but it actually, besides the pain, feels as though my scalp is sore. It began about 9-10 days ago, this time (has happened in the past). Began on left upper skull and progressed to lower left just above neck. It subsided for less than 48 hours, and when it began again, it was on right side of skull just back of my ear. Have tried ibuprofen and aspirin with some relief.
I read your question carefully and understand your concern.
Your symptoms seem to be related to migraine. I would like to know the character of your headache ( pressure or throbbing) and if you have experienced other symptoms like nausea or intolerance to noise or light. Have you ever had a headache like this before?
I recommend you to consult with a neurologist, for a careful physical examination for neurological signs. A brain CT scan besides the routine blood tests would be necessary to exclude other causes of headache.
Hope to have been helpful!
