Reason For Variable HPT Results While Using Prontogest Pessaries?

I m 4 weeks pregnant and I ve been using prontogest pessaries bcos I had miscarry 4 months ago. I took a hpt two days before my period was due and I could clearly see the test line which was positive. After a missed period, I did a hpt again and I got a very very faint positive. I m confused. Could I possibly be miscarring? I m still using the pessaries tho. Pls help

Hello ma'am and welcome.

There could be a possibility but this will have to be confirmed and looked into immediately. I do not think the pessaries can cause any harm but I wiuld certainly recommend an urgent visit to your doctor. At times the pregnanct test can be slightly inaccurate reporting a faint line, this is nothing to worry about and usually reaches a normal result within the first trimester.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
