Recommend Treatment For Tonsillitis

sir i m 34 years old and wt is 94 kg and i have tonsillitis since last 8 to 9 years.Now its happening frequently.i have taken azithro 500 many times.after taking 5 days course i feel comfort but it happen again n again.i met dr many times and they just prescribed same medicine.a doctor told me you have allergy.you will have safe your self.what to do?

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have tonsillitis which is occurring again and again from last 8-9 years . Well there can be many reason for reoccurring tonsillitis like low immunity , underlying condition like allergy . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test or allergy test . Doctor my prescribe antibiotics , anti allergic and anti inflammatory . In case condition doesn't get better , then doctor can opt for tonsillectomy . For now do warm saline gargles and avoid cold water and food.
