Recurrent Abscess Cause Of Waxing. Prevention From Getting Larger/swelling?

Hello, I am 24 years old, 5'4" and 121 lbs. I would like to know how to prevent an abscess from getting larger/swelling? The abscess is a result of waxing and has developed once again after being lanced and drained at the ER 3 weeks ago. I have not gone waxing since this visit and would like to avoid going back to hospital, if possible. Thank you for your time.

Hello

Welcome to healthcare magic forum
Thank you for your question.'
I am Dr Gaurav Patel ,dermatologist.
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem
You have recurrent bacterial infection.
You need to check your sugar level.
Due to wax ,hair root infection is very common.
You must avoid wax ,you can try laser hair reduction or cream for hair removal instead of wax.
You should start antibiotic cream and medicine as soon as you notice that abscess like lesion.
it is better to consult dermatologist and take proper treatment.
I hope i answered your question.
Wish you speedy recovery.
Regards.
