Recurrent Clogging Of Sinus With Ear Block. Non Smoker/drinker. Recommendations?

Hello. I am a pro singer. I have recently encountered some sinus problems. I was sick 4 times over the winter and my last cold left my sinuses clogged. It turned into post nasal drip with a middle ear infection. I then used Avamys to clear my eustachian tube. It didn't really work but eventually cleared up. About 2 weeks later my congestion returned and my ears are blocked again. My voice was functioning the whole time. Then it turned into trouble breathing and as if I wanted to cough as well as the post nasal drip. Now my sinus is completely clogged and my ears are blocked and my vocal range is being compromised. My higher register is thin and breathy. Please offer advise. I am worried. I have always taken very good care of my voice. I do not smoke or drink. I drink 2 litres of water per day and I do not eat acidic foods. I have rarely had vocal problems in my life. I have been singing professionaly for over 10 years and I have 7 years of vocal training.

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I read your query regarding your sinusitis which is continuously giving out post nasal drip thus infecting your throat and clogging your ears via eustachian tube. You are a singer by proffession and therefore you are very much disgustted due to change in voice.

You have already tried conservative treatment and that is not appears to be helpfull, so I would like to suggest you to consult ENT doctor for thorough examination and treatment. Because till sinusitis is there your voice can't be return to original.

Regards.
