Recurrent Painful Swollen Sores On Inner Thighs And Penis After Sex. Any Suggestions?
Twice now I have developed painful red sores (swollen) on the side of my inner thighs and near the base of my penis after sex. They noticed the spots the same evening, and by the next day, they were much worse. The first time I went to the doctor and he just said I had a skin infection and gave me an antibiotic . He thought perhaps I used an unclean razor when shaving my testicles. This recent time, I have not shaved, so I know it cannot be from shaving. It doesn t happen all the time, but I am worried. The pics I ve seen online appear to be similar to folliculitis . The spots do not look like herpes . Any suggestions?

Hi,
It seems that you developed skin infection in the form of folliculitis. It is a bacterial infection caused by staphylococci. It is definitely not herpes progenitalis.
Blood tests may be done to rule out DM,HIV,anaemia or other internal diseases. Take antibiotics like cefuroxime and anti inflammatory drugs. Apply antibiotic cream. Take Sitz bath in dettol containing water. I feel that you will be benefitted. I hope you got my answer.
