Dear David, welcome to HCM. your amoebiasis may be chronic. what treatments have you taken ? what tests were done? do you have nausea, vomitting, fever, diarrhoea? do you eat clean , uninfected food ? secondly, malaria is endemic (been there always) in Africa. what tests were done? results? what treatment regimen did you complete? Malaria can cause recrudences despite treatment or there may be resistant strains . were you given any ACT (artemisin based chemotherapy) for malaria? you have to take precautions from mosquito bites.
