Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I fully appreciate your concerns.

The condition is called Urticaria, which is an allergic reaction to pollen, dust and grass (as brought out by you).

Your son will continue to have recurrent Urticaria, as long as he lives in the environment having presence of the allergens as described above.

His condition will improve only if he moves out to an area where the known allergens are absent.

If I had been your son's treating doctor, I would have added one of the drugs from leukotriene receptor antagonists' family.

Consult your doctor and discuss the matter with him. He will understand what else to prescribe.

I am sure that you will benefit from the advice.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

May your son have a good health.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
