However, i did have these symptoms when i was about 15 years of age generally during exams, and at that time when one of the doctors that i was visiting had done an Echocardiography, the doctor said i have MVC problem, however when i visited a heart specialist and he without seeing any test results of the Echo, just basis an ECG, said no its cant be an MVC.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Palpitations can be related to heart disease, they can also be related to other conditions such as anemia, high levels of thyroid hormone, excess use of stimulants such as caffeine and anxiety.Heart related palpitations would normally occur with activity and be relieved on rest.

Investigations normal consist of an ECG and blood tests to check for anemia and thyroid function. If the ECG was normal and the symptoms are in keeping with heart disease then you can consider a holter. This is basically a 24 hr ECG, since it is kept on for a prolonged period of time it may detect changes.

I hope this helps
