Recurring Ulcer, Infection On Foreskin. Given Ibilex. What Is Recommended?

My 10 year old boy has a recurring ulcer and infection on the foreskin of his penis. He sometimes gets mouth ulcers, but not at the same time. When he had this problem 3 weeks ago the doctor gave him Ibilex 500 antibiotics which helped, but the problem has now reoccurred, so she has given us another dose of Ibilex 500 & a referral to a Paediatric Dermatologist, for which we cannot get an appointment until Aug 2013. If you could offer any advice towards this problem, that would be much appreciated.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi, your son seems to suffer from relapsing impetigo, a bacterial infection. Due to poor immunity and poor hygine, the disease recurs. Give him short course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs. If there is redness , there may be fungus.,. Candidosis. So , give him antifungal tablet for 2 weeks. Avoidance of soap and use of sitz bath in dettol water are advised... Improve his immunity with immuno busters.. Like tab. levamisole 50 mg daily for 2 to 3 months. Investigate him to find out , if there is some internal disease.. Like anaemia or nutritional deficiencies.. And treat them. If prepucial skin seems long and narrow,Circumcision is best method to follow for permenent relief from local recurring diseases.... Ok
