Red, Flat Spots On Head, No Itching Or Fever. What Is It?
I have a 6 month old that get flat red spots on the top of his head only( no where else on his head/face or body). They come and go, some times worse than others. They don t seem to bother him, no itching, fever or anything like that. I do not know where they came from they started a few months ago and as I said they come and go. His general peds Dr. saw them when they weren t bad and I showed him a picture of when they were at there worst. He said he had no idea what they were. He is growing fine, no health problems.
Hi, After reading your history it appears that your kid might have developed mild dermatitis o urticaia problem over the affected area. You can apply a calamine lotion with cortisone cream over the affected area. You can give benadryl for itching part. Do not expose her to hot humid weather, let him wear cotton clothes and clean the are regularly for 3-4 times with cold water. If it persist beyond 7 days or if it increases then it will be better for you to take a good suggestion from a dermatologist.
