Red Inflamed Bump Between Buttock And Anus. Pain While Sitting. Remedy?

Hello. I am a 20 year old female and I recently found an red, inflamed bump area halfway between the top of my butt crack and my anus. It is located on the left side and has grown in extreme pain. Now it hurts to sit down (leaning back is extreme pain) and it hurts to lay on my back. I have been looking at online forums and many reference pilondial cysts, but they say that it is above the butt crack and mine is inside the actual crack. What would you suggest? Thank you so much!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
It looks like an inflammatory swelling.
Please take a good antibiotic and anti inflammatory medicine so that the swelling will be clearly and completely diagnosed.
IT can be a simple boil or an infected pilonidal cyst.
But,it has to be clinically examined by a surgeon for exact diagnosis.
Please consult a surgeon for exact diagnosis.
Nothing to worry.
It can be cured.
Wish you good health
Regards
