Hi Doctor,

My skin is oily from the childhood and so I don't have to care my skin too much apart from keep them clean. After my education, I've shifted in Maharastra for my job and now settled in Pune back of 10 years.
Back of 2 years, I feel little bit of red patch on my face which become very red when I take a bath or wash my face and after some days feel itchy. I met and consult with a Dermatologist here he started my treatment. His conclusion is -Due to dryness, litle bit of ezemma formation happens but it could be treated.
I'm pasting the doctor medicine with date so that you'll get to know the medicine applied.

Date - 20 Feb, 12

1. Autoxid HC tab - 20 days.
2. Elovera IMF cream (Morning after Bath)
3. TBIS 0.0% cream (Night)

date - 7 March, 12

1. Fusy 150 mg tab (one tab every Thusday & Sunday) - 6
2. Ecod cap - 20 days

Date - 31 March, 12

1. Ecod cap - 30

Date - 20 Oct, 12

1. Defcort 6 mg tab = 1 tab for 15 days
2. Eldercoid A ointment (Apply twice)

Date - 10 Nov, 12

1. Eldercoid A ointment (Apply after bath)
2. TBIS 0.1% Ointment (Apply at night)
3. Defcort 6 mg tab = 1 tab for 15 days

Date - 12 Jan, 13

1. Cetafil Dam cream
2. Cetafil cleansing lotion

The worst part is though I've maintaining my skin as per doctor advice still it appears again.

Please suggest.

Sunil

Hi Sunil ,
Thanks for writing in.
As you have used so many medications without much relief ,the diagnosis in your case must be established properly.
If it would have been eczema then it should have subsided till now.
Other possibility can be rosacea or tinea facie .You need to visit a qualified doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.A skin biopsy may be needed for diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
I will be available for follow up.
